Do I need an energy label for my property in the Netherlands?
You need a valid energy label when you sell a home, let it to a new tenant or hand over a newly built home. If you simply live in your own home, you do not need a new label. See how the Dutch energy label works.
How much does an energy label cost?
The price depends on the property type, the usable floor area and the location of the property. Enter your postcode and house number above and you see the total price including VAT, the visit and the registration in EP-Online.
Can everything be arranged in English?
Yes. Questions, planning and the explanation of the result can all be handled in English by e-mail, WhatsApp or phone. The registered label itself is an official Dutch document.
Do I have to be at the property?
No. A tenant, estate agent, family member or other contact person can give access, as long as this is agreed in advance. See energy labels for expats and owners abroad.
How long is a Dutch energy label valid?
Up to ten years from the registration date. The exact end date is on the label. Renovations do not update an existing label automatically.
