NEN 2580 floor area measurement
A standardised, independent measurement of usable floor area, carried out to the Dutch NEN 2580 standard.
Why it exists
Floor area can be measured in several ways, and differences of a few square metres change the asking price and the rental points. NEN 2580 is the Dutch standard that removes the ambiguity, and estate agents are expected to use it when advertising.
